Back to School (3)

Bore da all

We will be contacting families today to let them know which days their children are being offered to attend school from the 29th June.

We have accommodated all families who informed us by the cut off date of 16th June and those children will be given 4 sessions from 8:50-12:00 (we will review times throughout and make changes, if needed in order to aid the safe return of those attending school).

A parent handbook will also be emailed today, which will hopefully answer any questions you may have.

We have had some late requests and we although we have tried our best to accommodate those requests, unfortunately we are now in a position where we can no longer do so, as we need to let those families who replied by the 16th June know their dates. Any extra pupils attending has a direct impact on cleaning schedules, grouping of children in classes  i.e. social distancing floor markers, which have been laid out this week, and there is also an impacts on staffing ratios as we are continuing with our ‘key-worker’ group as usual.

All of us at Maes-y-Llan, would like nothing more than to have you all back in school and we sincerely miss all the children, but these are not ordinary times and we can only allow in a set number of children while still opening school in as safe a manner as possible.

Thank you in advance for your understanding. If there are any changes in the guidance,  we will of course update you, but in the meantime we unfortunately cannot accommodate any more requests for children to attend from the 29th June.

If anyone would like to discuss this further please contact the office to arrange a callback and I will speak to you as soon as I can.

Stay Safe
