Covid-19 cases increase – symptoms awareness

As we made you aware last week, Covid-19 cases are rising within our community.

It was also reinforced that as stated in the most recent government guidance, that under 18s DO NOT need to self-isolate even if there are cases within close family or school groups.

However, we cannot stress enough the importance of keeping your child at home until they have had the result of a PCR test if they develop ANY of the following symptoms: cough, cold, extreme tiredness, headaches, nausea, sickness or diarrhoea.

The results of these PCR tests should be emailed to the school mailbox i.e. as soon as possible after they are received.

We understand that many of these symptoms may just be seasonal, but if you are in any doubt, please err on the side of caution.

Any children in school that develop or show symptoms during the day, will be isolated until collected at the earliest convenience.

With your vigilance and continued support, we can keep our Maes y Llan family as safe as possible.

If you have any concerns, please contact 119/ NHS website for advice.
