Dosbarth Harlech – Mrs B Jackson

Croeso i Dosbarth Harlech!

Summer Term 2 Home learning

Welcome back to what would have been the last term. The sun is shining so I have set some activities that you can outside to make the most of it. You can colour in the boxes when you have completed the activities.

Grid of acitvities Summer Term2

There are a range of activities that have been set on MyMaths. If you would like to extend that, there are useful websites  below that can be used to practise Maths through interactive games or worksheets.

For Literacy, continue to practise spelling and reading High Frequency words, along with learning the phonic sounds using RWInc. To help support the task to write a postcard, please find a powerpoint to help explain what to include and a blank template to write on.

Here are some more resources that you can use to complete the grid activities:

Keep safe and remember that we will be together soon, but in the meantime know that I am here to support you and your child, so please message me on Dojo if you need any help with the activities set.

Summer Term Home Learning

I hope that you all had a lovely Easter!

This term will be a bit of a different way of teaching, so I have put together a grid of activities for you to choose from and carry on learning at home. The activities are practical for you and your child to enjoy and it is up to you and your child when and how you do them. Please do not worry about getting them all completed or if they take longer than a day, that is fine.  Choose a time that suits you and your child, this may change from day to day.

Grid of acitvities

I know it is hard to juggle everything at this time, but if you could try to focus on the Numeracy and Literacy activities, as it is so important that we practise these skills.

Check out Ruth Miskin daily phonics lessons to review sounds previously learnt and learn new sounds – Set 1, 2 and 3 Speed Sounds.

A timetable of the daily showings of the phonics being covered with times and which phonics is being discussed each day is attached below, so have a look and check which phonic level you think is most suitable for your child based on their reading and spelling.

Here are the links to the websites mentioned from the grid:

I will be sending out links on Seesaw and ClassDojo to support you further and I am available on Dojo if you have any questions. This is new to me and I am constantly adapting so I welcome your feedback so that we can provide the best way of learning for your children. The most important thing is the health and well-being of your family.  These activities should be fun and give you valuable time together to talk, share and create things.

Happy learning and I look forward to seeing the work you have you uploaded,

Mrs Jackson
