I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break. I can’t wait to hear about what you got up to, and what you had for Christmas.
As you are aware, remote learning will be starting 6.01.2021. Please find a table with Literacy, Numeracy and Topic activities that can be done in any order throughout the day. These activities are there for you to use but please remember that your child’s health and well being is our main priority. You are welcome to share other activities that you are doing at home too. If you have any questions or would like more activities to be set please feel free to contact me (between 8.30am and 4pm) via Dojo or on my: JacksonB39@hwbcymru.net
Please share any work or activities that you complete on Dojo.
Diolch yn fawr!
Autumn Term 1
Welcome back everyone!
It is so lovely to be having you all back in school and seeing the classroom buzzing again. Our main priority will be ensuring everyone is settled, happy, safe and secure. As you are already aware, we will be having a phased transition to ensure everyone settles back to the classroom routine. New routines in school will, of course, take some time to get used to and are subject to change in line with Government recommendations.
Here is some information that will help with the routine:
*We will be spending lots of time outside and so children will need to have a warm coat with them EVERY DAY.
*Please ensure ALL items are clearly labelled-from water bottles to footwear!
*P.E. will be taught by Miss Thomas and will start from Friday 18th September. Please send your child into school that day in their PE kit, navy or black track suit (if possible), white or blue T-Shirt and trainers or pumps.
Our Topic will be “Colours of the Rainbow”
In this topic we will be learning to name colours and how to mix them to create new colours. We will explore different ways of using colour to create works of art.
We will be exploring a range of different stories including A rainbow of my own, Brown bear, brown bear, Elmer, Rainbow Fish. We will be encouraging the children to recall and retell the stories and to talk confidently about the different characters and settings.
In our Physical Development we are focusing on developing fine motor skills by using tweezers and threading as well as giving the children lots of opportunities to make marks using an effective tripod pencil grip.
We have a very exciting year ahead with lots to look forward to. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about anything school related. I am contactable on dojo and via email at JacksonB39@hwbcymru.net
