Croeso i Dosbarth Fflint!
We are now starting the summer term. This half term we will continue to work on the topic ‘Real Life Superheroes’. Please see information below about the work we will cover.
Wellie Wednesday will continue this term, please remember to send children into school in old and warm clothes. We will take the opportunity to get messy on these days, so remember, nothing brand new that you mind getting dirty!
Foodie Friday will also continue this term. Please ensure you send in a named tupperware tub with your child, so that they can bring their creation home with them.
As stated before the Easter holidays by Mr Hamilton, children do need to be in full school uniform this term. There may be the option to pick up some second hand school uniform once we return.
As always, please remember that if you have any questions or concerns, then you can contact me on either Class Dojo or via email: email@example.com
Diolch. Thank you for your continued support.

Our Topic for this half term is:
We will be looking at a number of different celebrations. Firstly we will look at Bonfire Night. We will also look at Remembrance Day, Diwali and birthdays. Finally we will look at Christmas. We will complete a number of fun and interesting activities related to these celebrations.
We will continue with Wellie Wednesday and Foodie Friday. Please also remember to come into school at your allotted time for either Group A or Group . It is important we do not have too many adults on the playground at once. Now that the children are more settled, we ask that you leave them at the gate to our outdoor area, so that we do not have lots of adults under the shelter. There will be a member of staff on hand to support your children coming in.
Here is an overview of our learning this half term:
As ever, I am contactable on Dojo and via email: email@example.com
Croeso! I am very excited to start the new year with your children. In our class there are three members of staff, myself, Miss Thomas (class teacher) and two teaching assistants, Miss Edwards and Mrs Harper. Last school year was a very strange one for us and I am sure it has been a very strange time for you as well. Please be assured that we have your children’s needs at the front of our minds when in school. We are here to help them settle and feel happy and safe at all times. I know that leaving you child will be a big change, however, we want to work with you to help this transition.
Our Topic for this half term is:
This topic is designed to help your child settle into school and begin talking about a subject they feel comfortable with. Below is some information about what will be covered over the half term.
Please ensure you have downloaded Class Dojo, regularly check this for information about things that are going on in school. I will also use this to send you photos of the children to show you how they have settled in. If you need to contact me, you can do this on Dojo or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Every Wednesday, from 23rd September, will be our outdoor/messy play day. Children need to come into school in old, outdoor clothes, that you do not mind getting dirty and bring wellies in with them. If you have an all in one waterproof suit, send them in as well. It would be a good idea to send in some spare clothes in case they get very wet!
Every Friday, from 25th September, will be a cooking morning. We will make different recipes linked to our topic. Children will cook on a rota basis, so not every week, however, they will bring something home with them each week. Children need to bring a labelled container in on a Friday, in order to bring their item home with them. Please could you also bring a labelled apron or an over sized t-shirt to wear when we cook. This can stay in school.
For the foreseeable future, children will remain in either group A or B (you should have received this information on Dojo recently) for arriving at school.
- Group A will need to arrive at school between 8:40am and 8:50am.
- Group B will need to arrive at school between 8:50am and 9:00am.
All children will be picked up at 11.20am. Please enter the school via the main gate and walk around to the rainbow fence. This is where you will drop off and pick up your child each day. If you should need to pick them up early for whatever reason, please come to the school reception.
It is very important that these timings are adhered to, as we need to limit the number of adults on the school yard at all times. If you feel that your child’s assigned group will be an issue, please let me know as soon as possible.
Please do ask any questions that you have, no matter how silly they may seem! It is important that we make this transition as smooth as possible.
I look forward to the year ahead!
