Good afternoon everyone.
What an eventful and exciting week we’ve all had once again.
It has been lovely to see everyone’s uniqueness shine through today in response to ‘This is me’ day, at the end of Autism Awareness week.
Most of the pupils have had workshops throughout the day, developing their understanding and knowledge of the varying needs of others, through a visit from Inclusion Curriculum. The children were again a real credit to you all. Please ask them to share with you what they learnt.
Can I also thank you for sending in a chocolate donation too!
Inline with our uniqueness, I am reaching out and asking for your support in helping gather some data.
As we are striving excitedly towards the rolling out of the New Curriculum for Wales this September, we want to ensure that we design and create our school Vision and bespoke curriculum for the best of our school by identifying our community’s unique factors.
Having a firm understanding of our children/ families/ community and surroundings will ensure we provide the best learning experiences for your children. In order to collect this information, which will remain anonymous, we have created the following very simple form for you to complete. Please have a look. You don’t have to complete it all, just what applies to you.

To get the biggest picture possible, please feel free to share the link to family and friends within our community.
Lastly, we are really looking forward to welcoming you through the door again next week, for parents’ evenings. This is so exciting, after what feels like an age of not being able to see people face-to-face.
We are, however, still aware that Covid is not a thing of the past, and that we still need to do our best to protect you and our staff. With that in mind, we will be doing things a little differently to how we normally would.
At the start time of your appointment, you will be greeted at the following doors;
– Dosbarth Caerdydd – year 5/6, and Mrs Jones’s class – main foyer entrance door.
– Miss Powell’s and Miss Griffiths’s class – Foundation Phase entrance.
– Miss Blackwell – Nursery entrance.
– Mrs Jackson – Reception hut entrance.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to seat people inside the school to wait.
Also, in order to keep everyone as safe as possible, we will keep the rooms ventilated with open windows and doors, will ensure that all classrooms have hand sanitisers for your use as well as consider the seating arrangements. Just to make you aware, current regulations still advise the use of masks by visitors in areas of close contact within schools up until Friday 8th April.
Wow! That was a long one!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Mrs L
