Summer Term Update

Perhaps I should just slow down and enjoy the Easter break first, but I find myself already looking forward to the summer term…

Firstly, we would like to wish Mrs Gartery the best of luck as she starts her new role at Ysgol Acrefair. Mrs Gartery has been working closely with Miss Griffiths and Mrs Champion in supporting our Y1 and Y2 children. Thank you and good luck.

Mr Jones is a great addition to our staff and I know he is just happy to actually be in school now! Having started at Maes-y-Llan on the 10th of December, just before going another lockdown, we are only now benefitting from his skills and expertise. Welcome Mr Jones!

Mrs Williams has been with Y6 this half-term due to Mrs Lewis’ absence and we are very grateful to have Mrs Williams with us for the forthcoming summer term too. I know you will all join me in wishing Mrs Lewis a speedy return to health, but in the meantime, Y6 are in the experienced and capable hands of Mrs Williams.

Senior Leadership Team

With Mrs Lewis and Mrs Steele (maternity leave) not at school currently, and my inability to negotiate any more than 24 hours in a day or to multitask any further, Mrs Jackson will be our Deputy Headteacher until Mrs Lewis returns and Mrs Jones will be our Key Stage 2 Leader.

From everyone at Maes-y-Llan, we sincerely wish you all a restful and safe Easter break and we very much look forward to having a summer term full of fun, laughter, learning and memories.
