This week we have been learning to calculate perimeter! Once we were confident, we wrote our names (and an adjective we feel describes us!) and worked out the perimeter of each letter.
Today we had a visit from PC Hulley who taught us all about keeping safe on the internet.
On Monday Miss Harry brought in some real fish for the children to look at! The children bravely held the fish, used fantastic adjectives to describe what they looked, felt and smelt like! They also labelled the different parts of the fish, including the fins and gills.
This week we travelled to Australia. We have researched lots of information about Australia and found out about many mysterious animals that live there. This week in Forest School we made characters from our focus book – Tiddler, the story telling fish by Julia Donaldson. The children loved making mud-snowballs and finding natural materials to decorate them to look like the different sea creatures.

This morning in Dosbarth Chirk we found some ripped up boxes and footprints outside. We decided to investigate. The footprints led us to forest school where we found some animals from the zoo. We have taken the animals into our class vets to look after them!
