Penrhyn

In our Expressive Arts sessions, we have been creating pictures of animals. Mrs S gave us half a picture and we had to complete it using either pencils or pastels; can you tell which side is which?!

This week we have been learning to calculate perimeter! Once we were confident, we wrote our names (and an adjective we feel describes us!) and worked out the perimeter of each letter.

Today, Dosbarth Penrhyn and Caerdydd came together for Outdoor Learning. We worked in teams to create Fairy Houses out of pumpkins! On Friday, we will take the pumpkin houses outside to Forest School so the animals can enjoy them over Half Term.

Today in Dosbarth Penrhyn we have started a new maths unit! We have moved on from Place Value and are now learning about addition and subtraction. We used Place Value charts and counters to help us.

We have had lots of fun during our Outdoor Learning sessions so far this term. Over the last couple of weeks, we used natural resources to print our own fabric. Today, we made stick models and used our own fabric to create outfits for them. We even held a fashion show!
