This year is my third year of teaching and I am loving every second! I have previously worked as a PPA teacher, a supply teacher and have experience in both Foundation Phase and KS2. I started working at Ysgol Maes-y-Llan in 2022 in a maternity cover position in the year 1 class, before moving to our year 3/4 class. Along with moving to year 3/4 this September, I will also be taking on the role of eco council lead. I am incredibly passionate about the environment and hope to inspire our young minds to make a difference in the world.
Prior to teaching I went to Bangor University where I studied BA Primary Education. Whilst studying, I volunteered at my local dance school which I attended as a child myself and assisted with teaching LAMDA exams. As well as volunteering, I also took part in competitive dancing and shows. I have always loved performing and still enjoy dance and acting. I have always found enjoyment through creativity whether that be through dance, drawing, painting, crafting or music. I use this passion as an advantage within teaching to plan and deliver the most creative and exciting topics.
I like to spend my free time outdoors as much as possible either paddleboarding, wild swimming or walking my dog, Woody. I also love travelling and like to fit in trips where I can to see the world as much as possible.
