My Maes y Llan journey started many moons ago whilst on my second year teacher training placement in our year 4/5 class. Upon qualifying, I taught throughout the school as a PPA teacher. It was during this time that I realised my real passion was for teaching in the Infant department.
Prior to becoming a primary teacher I was a manager for a famous High Street retailer for 16 years. During this time I was also an assistant Brownie leader for over 18 years, which certainly fuelled my love of working with children. The thought of a career educating young minds while making learning fun, pushed me into completing my Teaching Degree at Glyndwr University.
I thrive on new challenges and so this year I have started my training to become a Level 3 Forest School Leader.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my very close family and friends. I love to be outdoors and can frequently be found out and about walking my puppy. At any opportunity I love travelling and seeing the world; I have a keen interest learning about the history, cultures and traditions of different countries, and I also have a passion for live theatre and love to go and see West End Musicals whenever I can.
