Wrap-around Care

Mrs Amy Guiel

I have worked at MYL since 2013. Originally in a Year 5 class, then I have moved around and taught in different year groups. I had a sabbatical from work in 2016 for two years, in this time I moved to Dubai and worked in an International school. This was a fantastic opportunity to develop as a teacher and also to learn about the bigger world out there!

Prior to being a primary teacher, I worked as a dance teacher. I taught ballet, tap, modern and national dancing in local dance schools. This gave me my passion for working with children and after teaching dance for a number of years, I attended Glyndwr University in Wrexham to train as a primary teacher.

Outside of work I am recently a mum and step-mum. I enjoy spending time with my family, going on trips, seeing the wider world and making lots of memories. I love to keep fit by going on walks, running or taking part in HITT classes. I also enjoy movie days at home.
