As many of the village people know, I grew up in the village of Ruabon and as a little girl I attended Maes y Llan, then continued on to Ysgol Rhiwabon. Once I left school I became a qualified dental nurse, and worked in this role for 17 years.
I am mother of four children who have all attended, or are still present at Maes y Llan.
When I gave up dentistry to become a full-time mum, I started to help out at my childrens’ playgroup as a volunteer. I was offered the opportunity to do a Level 2 NVQ in Teaching and Learning, which has now helped me to get a job I really enjoy.
I started working at Maes y Llan in 2021 as a Midday Supervisor, followed by a 1:1 Teaching Assistant and I am now currently a full-time TA. Out of school my hobbies are walking, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
