Collaboratively we created a poppy wreath and visited the cenotaph in Ruabon to represent Ysgol Maes Y Llan. We all stood very respectfully for 2 minutes, were we reflected on what we had learnt this week
Following a list of instructions together we made poppy and lemon cakes! They were delicious- a huge hit!

Today, the children were measuring the area of a rectangle using sticks. The children used rulers and blocks to calculate the area. Others used an alternative method of acorn hats to measure the area of their rectangle.
In Forest School this week, Dosbarth Conwy have been learning about the importance of the poppy. We spent some time collecting red leaves and created our very own Remembrance poppy.
This week we have been looking at why we have Remembrance Day and what it means to be brave. Miss Harry was so brave when she found a snake in her bag! The children spent some time discussing a time when they were brave and made themselves their very own bravery medals.
