Penrhyn: Perfect Perimeter

This week we have been learning to calculate perimeter! Once we were confident, we wrote our names (and an adjective we feel describes us!) and worked out the perimeter of each letter.

Conwy: Fish!

On Monday Miss Harry brought in some real fish for the children to look at! The children bravely held the fish, used fantastic adjectives to describe what they looked, felt and smelt like! They also labelled the different parts of the fish, including the fins and gills.

Conwy: Forest Fish

This week in Forest School we made characters from our focus book – Tiddler, the story telling fish by Julia Donaldson. The children loved making mud-snowballs and finding natural materials to decorate them to look like the different sea creatures.

Conwy: Superhero nurse

A big thank you to Nurse Cathy for coming into class today to talk to us about how we can keep our bodies healthy and the roles and responsibilities of nurses.  We loved using the stethoscope to hear heartbeats, stomach rumbles and lungs! Another fantastic, real life learning experience.

Conwy: A visit from a real life Superhero!

Last week we were so lucky to have a visit from Sergeant Rolls. He let us try on parts of his uniform, took our finger prints and we even helped him to solve a crime!  Thank you so much for coming into our class, it was a fantastic learning experience!

Criccieth: Children in need

In forest school this week, we have been making Pudsey faces using natural materials. We have been discussing why it is so important to donate to children in need. We identified all the things we are grateful for that others may not be as fortunate to have and what we can do to raise money.

Criccieth: Breaking news reports

Following on from writing our newspaper reports, this week we have filmed a breaking news report about Charlie finding the fifth golden ticket. We have been practicing our enthusiastic speaking and our eye contact at the camera. And action!
