We had a visitor this morning. First experience music from Wrexham came in to do a music workshop with us. We had a go at playing PBuzz instruments. We joined in with some songs and looked at the composer John Williams. We will be doing one of these workshops every term! 🎺
This week in forest school we’ve been making Bog Monster’s to save the witch from the story Room On The Broom 🧙♀️🪄✨
This week we have been looking at how parts make a whole and that when we add our parts together we can make a total. We used or characters from Room On The Broom to make parts and wholes which we will continue to extend this week into writing number sentences using part whole models.
It has been all about Autumn 🍂. The children have setup a shop selling apples and pears. They have enjoyed weighing the apples to see which ones were heavier. We have been making apple pies and crumbles in the sand and scooping them out of the water 💧 and moving the pine cones with the trucks. 🛻 We have been leaf rubbing and apple printing in the creativearea 🍁
In line with our Magic & Mystery topic, we’ve been focusing on the story Room On The Broom! We’ve been busy in forest school collecting natural autumnal recourses to make our own wonderful wands!
In Dosbarth Penrhyn, we have been working on story writing! We created our own front covers and illustrated them with pictures we generated using AI.
Each Friday, we set aside time to get cosy with a blanket and teddy and settle down to read. This gives us time to enjoy our books and chat about them with our friends.

Every day we have a go at Wordle. We have started to use dictionaries to help us find words. This 5-minute activity is helping our spelling, vocabulary and reasoning skills.
