This week we have been practising our measuring. We have used rulers and metre sticks to measure different objects around the room. Children have also been estimating how long/tall/short different objects are, then checking if they are correct. 

To start our topic of Planet Protectors the children thought about the impact of rubbish being on the school yard and decided to go and pick any rubbish up. They then used the data to collate into pictograms.

Our first two days of our Book Fair have been such a success. We’ve loved creating the posters,  writing letters, organising competitions, being cashiers, storytellers and sales staff!

This week we have been working with programmable toys called Bee-Bots. The children worked together to programme the Bee-Bots to move along a grid, thinking carefully about the sequence of instructions they needed to give. It’s trickier than it sounds!
